Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Term high risk pregnant women with co morbidities like anemia, diabetes mellitus,RHD,Pregnancy induced hypertension and having singleton foetus with cephalic presentation and active phase of labour are enrolled in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)Patients who refused or had any contraindication to regional technique. 2)Congenital malformation of foetus 3)Antepartum haemorrhage 4)Coagulopathy/ thrombocytopaenia (platelets count less than 75 000) 5)Intrauterine infection 6)Non Reassuring Foetal heart rate in CTG 7)Any allergy to ropivacaine or tramadol were excluded.
