Intervention1: Whatsapp based Chatbot: Chatbot was developed using BYOeB , which is an open source tool by Microsoft. It is designed to address patient and caregiver queries related to curative intent

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Histologically confirmed head and neck cancer patients Aged 18 years and above Patients receiving curative intent radiotherapy ,with or without chemotherapy , within 6 weeks Patients / caregivers who can use Whatsapp application Patients / caregivers fluent in one of the four languages : English , Kannada , Hindi or Malayalam Patients / caregivers willing to use the chatbot for few weeks before , during and for a month after radiotherapy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with history of radiotherapy or chemotherapy Patients planned for palliative treatment Performance status ECOG more than 2 Patients with significant co morbidities or psychiatric illnesses

MeasureTime frame
To develop and validate an AI powered Oncology chatbot ( referred to as Oncobot ) in terms of accuracy and user experience for enhancing the treatment experience of head and neck cancer patients treated with curative intent radiotherapy.Timepoint: 3 months

To compare the trained Bots responses with different Oncologists responses To correlate the number of visits to outpatient clinics and consultation duration with chatbot use To correlate the chatbot use with patient reported quality of life and distress measuresTimepoint: 3 months
