Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Individuals having systolic blood pressure of 140-179mmHg and diastolic blood pressure of 90-109mmHg. 2. Should be able to meet follow up requirements for minimum of 12 weeks.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Children, Pregnant and lactating women. 2. Acute and seriously ill patients such as liver cirrhosis, sepsis, chronic kidney disease etc. 3. Patients suffering from severe cardiovascular conditions such as congestive heart failure, patients with systolic blood pressure of 180 mm Hg and higher , and diastolic blood pressure of 110 mmHg and higher. 4. Patients allergic to zinc supplements. 5. History of malignancy. 6. Patients unable to meet the follow up requirements of 12 weeks.
