Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria- 1. Cases having classical symptoms of Yakrit-Vikar i.e. NAFLD. 2. Cases with only grade-1 and grade-2 severity of NAFLD. 3. Aged between 18-60 years of both male and female. 4. Abnormal Liver Function Tests. 5. Recently diagnosed (Less then 12 Months). 6. USG scan of abdomen evidence of hepatomegaly.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient with alcoholic fatty liver disease or other associated chronic disorder of the liver. 2. Grade-3 fatty liver and onward cases. 3. Any chronic disorder viz. ischemic heart disease, chronic renal failure, lung diseases, myxodema, nephritic syndrome, Hepato-cellular or any other carcinoma, Tuberculosis, STD, sickle cell disease, portal vein obstruction, biliary obstruction, ascites. 4. Hypothyroidism 5. Patients on any hormonal therapy. 6. Patient with any infectious disease like HbsAg, HCV, HIV etc. 7. Pancreatectomy 8. Pregnant women or females of menopausal and perimenopausal age group, PCOS. 9. Intake of any medication leading to fatty changes in the liver, and heavy metal toxicity.
