Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.ASA grade 1 and 2 2.Age between 18 to 65 years of either sex 3.Mallampatti classification 1 or 2
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.ASA grade 3 and 4 2.Anticipated difficult intubation 3.More than two attempts of laryngoscopy 4.Failed extubation 5. Active upper respiratory tract infections 6. Bronchial asthma, COPD, chronic cough, previous laryngeal or tracheal surgery 7. Allergies to local anaesthetics 8. Impaired cognitive ability 9. Gastric tube insertion
