Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Adults aged 18 to 75 years diagnosed with glaucoma being seen at the glaucoma clinic at the Aravind Eye Hospital. 2. Newly diagnosed with glaucoma (either routine or high risk), including both primary and secondary glaucoma 3. Anticipate attending all follow-up glaucoma visits at the Aravind Eye Hospital, Pondicherry. 4. Possess a mobile phone or have a caretaker that possesses a mobile phone a. Able to use texting feature 5. Able to read and understand Tamil 6. Able to provide informed consent. 7. Willingness to receive automated appointment reminders and adhere to study procedures and follow-up visits.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Individuals who have undergone intraocular surgery within the last 3 months or who are expected to undergo surgery within the next 1 month (for high risk patients) or within the upcoming 6 months (for routine patients) a. If the patient undergoes surgery during the study, the patient will be excluded from the study 2. Individuals with other ocular comorbidities that require follow up visits that would occur during the duration of the study 3. Individuals with cognitive impairments interfering with informed consent. 4. Individuals without access to a mobile phone and ability to receive texts

1.Evaluate the association of demographics, socioeconomic status, glaucoma severity, and baseline ophthalmic features (IOP, cup-to-disc ratio), ocular and surgical history, and complexity of medication regimens with follow up 2.
