Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Post cardiac surgery requiring invasive mechanical ventilation. 2. Patients receiving sedation and skeletal muscle relaxants with no spontaneous respiratory efforts
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Age less than 18 years 2. Patients with spontaneous respiratory efforts 3. Conscious patients 4. Denial of consent.
