Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age greater than 12 years 2. Patient of Tuberculous meningitis 3. Basal exudates

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients who have taken ATT for more than 8 weeks. (2) Patients who have contraindication to MRI brain. (3) HIV positive. (4) Patients with hepatic or renal dysfunction, malignancy, pregnancy and lactation. (5) Patients who are diagnosed as multi drug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) (6) Patients who refuse to consent for the study.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome will be occurrence of stroke on MRI (New MRI proven brain infarction) at 3 month with or without clinical evidence of focal deficit.Timepoint: 3 months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The secondary outcome will be death and functional outcome at 3 monthsTimepoint: 3 months
