Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Bilateral Probing pockets depth of = 5mm in atleast 2 teeth in the posterior sextants. Bilateral clinical attachment level (CAL) loss of = 2mm in atleast 2 teeth in the posterior sextants. Patients who are systemically healthy. Absence of periapical pathology. Absence of acute infection. Absence of subgingival restoration which could interfere with clinical measurements. Absence of degree 2 or 3 mobility.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnant or lactating female Non-surgical periodontal treatment in the past 6 months, or surgical periodontal treatment in the past 12 months History of radiation therapy in the head and neck region Use of tobacco in any form
