Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients between 18 to 65 years . 2) Duration of mechanical ventilation more than 24 hours 3) Patients considered ready for the weaning process and SBT.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients whose trial would be interrupted. 1 Tracheostomised patients. 2 Patient on double vasopressor support. 3 Neurosurgery and Cardio thoracic vascular surgery (CTVS) patient.
