Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Subjects with Primary dysmenorrhoea, with regular periods coming to OPD of Prasuti tantra and Streeroga, Govt. Ayurveda College Hospital, Tripunithura. Unmarried and married nullipara within the age group of 15-35 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects diagnosed with pelvic pathology. Subjects with irregular menstruation. Known case of DUB.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Change in the mean score value of lower abdominal pain during menstruation assessed by Verbal Descriptive Scale and Visual Analogue Scale.Timepoint: 0th and 4th day of 3 consecutive menstrual cycles

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Change in associated symptoms such as nausea, vomiting,diarrhoea, low back ache, headache and giddiness as per Verbal Descriptive Scale.Timepoint: 0th and 4th day of 3 consecutive menstrual cycles
