Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients who are undergoing elective coronary artery bypass surgery and who have left ventricle ejection fraction greater than fifty percent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients aged less than thirty years and more than eighty years, who have left ventricle ejection fraction less than fifty percent, who have preoperative chronic renal failure and patients who have associated significant valvular heart disease.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To investigate the association between LV GLS and the SYNTAX score in CAD patients undergoing CABG surgery.Timepoint: preoperative to 3months post operative period

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. To study the relationship of SYNTAX score and change of postoperative LV dimensions and volume at 3 months. 2. To ascertain the relation between SYNTAX score and postoperative adverse events 3. To find the association between GLS and early outcomeTimepoint: preopertive to 3months post operative period
