Intervention1: standard 24hrs antibiotic prophylaxis: Patients with bladder tumours fulfilling the inclusion criteria and undergoing open radical cystectomy with a standard pelvic lymph node dissectio

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing radical cystectomy with ileal conduit Age greater than or equals to 18yrs Written informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients refusing to give consent for the study or unwilling to participate. Patients not coming under inclusion criteria American Association of Anaesthesiology Grade more than or equal to 3 Unfit for surgery Patient undergoing procedure other than ileal conduit e.g Nephroureterectomy,ONB CKD V(amikacin is contraindicated with dialysis) Patients on antibiotics due to infection e.g UTI Recent antibiotic use due to symptomatic UTI within 1 month Patients requiring immediate post op ICU support
