Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with American Society of Anaesthesiologists physical status 1,2,3 who were scheduled for elective Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Emergency Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy 2. Patients with cardiovascular dysfunction 3. History of drug abuse 4. Allergy to any of the drug used in the study 5. Patients who developed surgical complications like bleeding and perforation 6. Chronic neuropsychiatric disorder 7. procedures lasting less than 30 min

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To compare the total dose of Ketamine used in two different infusion regimes for maintenance of sedation.Timepoint: Data of total dose of ketamine required will be taken after the procedure gets completed

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To compare the respiratory, hemodynamic variables and awakening time between each groupTimepoint: All throughout the procedure and after the procedure. The patient will be followed up in the Post Anaesthesia Care Unit till he/she achieves a Modified Aldrete Score of 9/10
