Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All sepsis patients aged more than 18 years admitted to ICU expected to have ICU stay of at least 4 days were included in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients with History of wound, skin lesion, surgery, and/or radiation therapy in the temporalis region, 2) Cervical spine injury, burn , malignancy 3) Patients with history of muscular dystrophy;CKD on dialysis, steroids more than 3 months 4) Patients planned discharge within 4 days.
