Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All the consenting patients more than 18 year age undergoing abdominal closure in an emergency midline laparotomy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Age more than 80 years 2.Patient undergoing re-laparotomy within 6 months 3.Pregnancy

To determine rectus sheath dehiscence in 30 days postoperative period. Timepoint: 30 days

1)To measure Operative time for fascial closure in minutes. 2) To measure wound infection (Southampton wound grading system) 3)To measure the VAS score at 12 hour, 24 hour & 72 hour after surgery in the same hospital stayTimepoint: at 12 hour, 24 hour & 72 hour after surgery in the same hospital stay
