Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. The patients diagnosed with psoriasis along with Saudawi temperament confirmed by PASI score are included in the study 2. Participants who have received atleast 20–30 minutes of sunlight on their face and fore arms during midday. 3. Healthy volunteers with Age and sex matched to Psoriasis Patients.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. The subjects who are unwilling to give the blood sample. 2. Severe illness, e.g., suffering from kidney disease, autoimmune diseases, inflammatory bowel disease,absorption syndromes, malignancy and liver disease. 3. Known or suspected pregnancy. Currently breast-feeding. 4. Patients on vitamin-D supplements and systemic therapy like methotrexate and cyclosporine will not be allowed to participate. 5. In addition, psoriasis patients on biologics will be excluded from the study.

This study will provide information in relation to the vitamin D deficiencies in psoriasis patients with Saudawi clinical phenotyping as per Unani philosophy. This is the first study of its kind regarding Vitamin D metabolism genes associated with psoriasis and Temperament.Timepoint: 3 years

The study would therefore contribute to a better comprehension of psoriasis pathogenesis and management in relation to Unani philosophy.Timepoint: 3 years
