Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Cases with symptoms of hypothyroidism (serum TSH = 4.25 µIU/ml) 2) Age 18-60 years 3) Literate patients; able to read and write in English or Hindi 4) Patients who had given written consent to participate

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients already undergoing Levothyroxine sodium therapy for hypothyroidism [may be included if can be kept in a wash-out phase of 14 days. 2) Patients who suffered from congenital hypothyroidism 3) Patients who had psychiatric diseases 4) Pregnancy and lactation 5) Cases who suffered from any other uncontrolled systemic illness or life-threatening infections or any vital organ failure.
