Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. All consenting patients with anal fissure 2. Adult aged more than 18 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient not consenting 2. Pregnant or lactating female 3. Known allergy or contraindication to nitroglycerine 4. History of cardiovascular disease 5. Use of phosphodiesterase inhibitor 6. Prior surgical intervention for anal fissure within past 6 months. 7. Anal fissure associated with abscess, haemorrhoids or fistula
