Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 60 American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I & II 18-70 years of age of either sex Known case of ankylosing spondylitis Anticipated difficult airway Undergoing spine surgery under general anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Known allergy to local anaesthetics Patients with psychiatric disorders
