Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals aged between 18 and 64 years. ii) Participants persistently suffering from lower back pain for more than 12 weeks. iii) Participants seeking medical attention for mild sciatic symptoms during their initial visit to the doctor. iv) Participants having mean pain intensity of more than 4 on numerical rating scale. v) Male and female individuals meeting the age and symptom criteria will be approached for potential participation. vi) Only individuals who provide informed consent will be considered for inclusion in the study. vii) Prospective participants expressing a willingness to adhere to the prescribed yogic practices and medication regimen throughout the study duration. viii) Patient with no prior experience of yoga

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: i. Patients currently undergoing any form of therapeutic treatment for their sciatic symptoms will be excluded. ii. Individuals aged 65 years and above will not be included in the study. iii. Individuals with unstable medical conditions, such as uncontrolled hypertension, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus or cardiovascular disorders, will be excluded to ensure participant safety. iv. Individuals who have participated in a similar study assessing the effects of yoga on sciatic symptoms in the last six months will be excluded. v. Pregnant women will be excluded from the study. vi. Individuals with a back surgery in last 3 years will be excluded. vii. Patients suffering from spinal canal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, severe progressive neurological disorders. viii. Patients suffering from serious psychiatric co-morbidities.
