Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. presenting with hip fracture 2. pain of numerical rating scale > 4

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. cognitive impairment 2. dementia, delirium 3. coagulopathy 4. hemodynamic instability 5. allergy to local anesthetic 6. alcohol abuse 7. any prior opioid use 8. patient refusal
