Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: children between 6-14 years of age. children previously diagnosed with type 1 diabetes mellitus

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: physical limitations or medical condition, which might preclude the normal tooth brushing and mouth rinsing. antibiotic theraphy within the past 3 months.

To evaluate and compare salivary microbial counts of mutans, actinomyces spp, p intermedia, T denticolla salivary ph, compare the gingival and periodontal index and oral hygiene status of type 1 diabetes mellitus children before and after use of chlorhexidine, herbal and oral probiotic mouth rinses.Timepoint: at baseline after 14th days
