Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Adolescents living in the institutionalised homes more than 3 months 2.All genders, age group of 11-18 years 3.Able to converse with Kannada

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Hearing impaired 2. Vision impaired 3. Confused and not oriented to the time, place and events 4. Currently, those who are on psycho-therapy 5. Having eye infection, or previously diagnosed of having astigmatism, Glaucoma and cataract 6.History of convulsion, anxiety disorders 7.At the time of data collection those with fever, cough and/or rhinitis 8.Those with severe illness, recent post surgeries

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Primary outcome to find the effectiveness of trataka on the well-being of adolescents.Timepoint: Well-being measured at the baseline and one month after the intervention using EPOCH adolescent well-being tool

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary outcome of the study is to find the association between pre-intervention well-being with subjects baseline characteristics, such as age, gender, duration of stay in the institutionalized home, education level, academic performance, frequency of visitors etc. Outcome measure at baseline before commencement of intervention.Timepoint: Everyday 15 minutes for 30 days
