Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All the families who had consented to participate in the study will be given DFS or IS (as per random allocation) for three years and intake of salt carefully monitored.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: families with persons with hypertension or other chronic illnesses
