Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All adults posted for surgeries of elbow, forearm, wrist and hand of ASA Grade 1/II between age group of 18 to 65 years of either sex.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)Sepsis or infection at the injection site 2) Pre-existing peripheral neuropathy or coagulation disorders 3)Known allergy to local anesthetic drugs 4) BMI greater than 30 kg/m²

MeasureTime frame
To compare the block onset time after ultrasound guided costoclavicular block with 25ml and 20ml of 0.5% bupivacaine in adult patients undergoing distal upper limb surgeries. Timepoint: Block assessment will be done every 3 minutes after injection of LA till 30 minutes

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. To compare the Duration of analgesia 2. To compare the motor block between both the groups according to modified Bromage. scale 3. To compare 24 hours analgesia requirement between both the groupsTimepoint: The time for 1st analgesia requirement and total analgesic consumption in the first 24 hrs will be recorded.
