Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.diagnosed with Acute Hypoxemic Respiratory Failure 2.Requiring Non-Invasive Ventilation
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Impending cardiac or respiratory arrest 3. Hemodynamic instability 4. Severe respiratory acidosis or hypercapnic respiratory failure. 5. SARS CoV 2019 positive patients. 6. Pneumothorax. 7. Not willing for NIV 8. Those who have consented for DNI( do not intubate) and DNR(do not resuscitate) 9. Facial trauma/anomaly/surgery. 10. High risk of aspiration/unable to clear out secretions. 11. Other contraindications to NIV 12. Not able to obtain consent for study 13. Pregnancy
