Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. The subjects had been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for at least 1 year, based on the American Diabetes Association criteria. 2. Age =45 years and spontaneous amenorrhea for at least 12 months.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Alcoholics; no controlled blood pressure; presence of myopathies, arthropathies, and diagnosed neuropathies; presence thromboembolic and gastrointestinal disorders; presence of cardiovascular diseases, infection diseases and cancer. 2. Medical contraindications for intense physical activity. 3. Painful joints. 4. Undertaking hormonal replacement therapy.
