Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: all patients above 18 years of age who have been admitted in the department of neurosurgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients Below 18 years of age Not giving consent for the study Patients with preoperative DVT, and those with a known history of coagulation disorders. Patients with sub-axial spine injuries, Patients with a likely hospital stay of less than 48 hours.
