Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1)Age group 18 to 60 years. (2)Both sex. (3)American Society of Anesthesiologist (ASA) grade 1 and 2. (4)Resting ECG normal. (5)Patients posted for elective upper limb orthopedic surgery with peripheral nerve stimulator guided supraclavicular brachial plexus block in Asansol district hospital.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1)Patient refusal. (2)Pregnancy. (3)Non co-operative patient. (4)Local site infection. (5)Known allergy to any of the drugs to be used in the study. (6)History of seizure and convulsion. (7)Any diagnosed cardiovascular, renal, respiratory, neurological or psychiatric diseases. (8)Adequate sensory and motor blockade not achieved within 30 minutes. (9)Patient with history of bleeding disorders.
