Intervention1: Silver modified atraumatic restorative technique: removal of soft caries with spoon excavator will be done, then dentin surface is treated with 38% SDF for 3 minutes, followed by rinsin

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: with Class I and Class II caries extending to dentin indicated for atraumatic restorative technique

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children with major systemic diseases, or syndromes and those who were not cooperative and refused examination will be excluded. If dental fluorosis is present/ family history of dental fluorosis Class V and root caries Symptoms of irreversible pulpitis, symptomatic and asymptomatic periodontitis

MeasureTime frame
Primary outcome of this study will be to assess the arrest/reversal of existing cavitated carious lesions and to identify secondary carious lesion around the intervention surface.Timepoint: 1 week, 6 month, 1 year

Secondary

Secondary outcomes- included adverse events, such as nausea, fluorosis, vomiting, allergic reactions, staining, tooth sensitivity, soft tissue trauma, symptomatic progression, pulpal health, lack of retention (for ART), and secondary cariesTimepoint: 1 week, 6 month, 1 year
