Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing head and neck oncosurgeries of duration less than 4 hours, under ASA physical status I, II.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with local anaesthetic allergy, Difficult airway or history of maxillofacial and neck surgeries, Chronic respiratory disease such as COPD or asthma and Current smokers.

Hemodynamic parameters (Blood Pressure and Heart rate) for any rise more than 20% of baselineTimepoint: Baseline, before intubation, 1 minute, 3 minutes and 5 minutes after intubation, before reversing, 1 minute, 3 minutes, and 5 minutes after reversing

MeasureTime frame
Morphine for endotracheal tube tolerance, if needed.Timepoint: Within 24 hours postoperatively
