Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patient undergoing proximal femur fracture surgeries under spinal anaesthesia. 2. Patient with American Society of Anesthesiologists grade I, II, III. 3. Patient with proximal femur fracture not older than 2 weeks.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Infection at site of block. 2 Fixed flexion deformity of ipsilateral hip. 3 Patients with significant cognitive impairment. 4 Known allergies to the study drugs.

To study and compare following parameters in both the study groups 1) VAS prior to Block At rest and 15 degree leg elevation 2)VAs after 20 mintues of block before spinal positioning at rest and 15 degree leg elevation 3) Ease of Spinal PositioningTimepoint: At rest and 20 mins after the block

MeasureTime frame
To study & compare following parameters in both the groups: • Haemodynamic changes before & after the block before spinal procedure. • Patient satisfaction score 24 hour after the procedure. Timepoint: at rest every 5 minutes for 30 minutes
