Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
incidence of hypoxic events at three different flow rates of HFNCO when compared to nasal prongs in patients undergoing ERCP. Timepoint: oHR, SpO2 every minute for the first 15 minutes and thereafter every 5 mins, oMAP every 3 mins for first 15 mins and sos in case of desaturation, bradycardia or tachycardia and then every 5 minutes.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
- Requirement of head tilt, chin lift, jaw thrust: Yes/ No for each. -Nasopharyngeal airway insertion: Yes/ No. - Bag-mask ventilation: Yes/ No. - Arrhythmias: brady/tachy arrhythmias, Atrial or ventricular ectopics, transient, persistent. If yes, the kind, or else No. - Total duration of procedure: Monitoired Anaesthesia Care- start time & end time, duration. - Lowest recorded SpO2. - Dry mouth/nose/throat: Yes/ No. - Sensation of abdominal bloating: Yes/ No. - Patient satisfaction score: 1-5, Very Dissatisfied to Very satisfied. Timepoint: Throughout the procedure.
