Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Elective surgeries under general anaesthesia BMI: 25-40 kg/m2 ASA grade 1 and 2 Patients of either sex

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Any oropharyngeal pathology

MeasureTime frame
total number of attempts for successful intubation with either of the advice.Timepoint: Time from the insertion of LMA to confirmation of endotracheal tube by waveform capnography.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. time for LMA insertion 2. time for endotracheal tube insertion 3. post op complications with use of SADTimepoint: 1. time for LMA insertion will be measured from removal of face mask till adequate ventilation established through LMA. 2. time for endotracheal intubation measured from disconnecting the LMA from breathing circuit till adequate ventilation established through endotracheal tube. 3. post op complications with use of SAD such a as sore throat, blood staining of device.
