Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Both male and female adult patient of age 18 to 65 years, discharged with outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy advice from the department of general medicine, AIIMS Rishikesh satisfying eligibility criteria.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: -Patient with an age less than 18 years. -Patient receiving OPAT from other hospitals. -Patient not willing to adhere to close follow-up after discharge with OPAT advice.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome will be measured by an increase in the number of OPAT discharges from the Department of General Medicine, AIIMS Rishikesh through MRD files visit. Timepoint: For 6 months before the intervention phase.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary outcome will be measured by measuring OPAT indication, Duration and rate of rehospitalization and Complication related to Drugs and IV lines using above mentioned quality indicators through confirmation from patient and treating physician.Timepoint: For 6 months after the intervention phase.
