Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Mallampati grade I and II American Society of Anaesthesiologist grade I and II
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with a history of allergy to local anaesthetics/study drugs Patients in whom intubation time exceeded 15 seconds or in those where second attempt for intubation was needed Surgery duration more than 3 hrs
