Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Controlled type 2 diabetic (HbA1c less than 8 %) and non diabetic patients aged 18 to 70 years undergoing elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy under general anaesthesia belonging to American society of anaesthesiologist 1 and 2
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients who are pregnant. Patients currently or recently receiving steroid treatment. Patients who are on long acting hypoglycemic agents.
