Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA Iâ??II patients scheduled to undergo craniotomy for elective neurosurgical procedures between 18-60 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient outside age range; hemodynamically unstable patients; Patients with history or existent abnormal muscle enzyme /liver parameter/renal parameters/ electrolyte levels, DM, thyroid abnormality ,GTCS, Febrile illness, peri-operative Succinylcholine use

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To compare the changes in the levels of muscle enzymes in patients undergoing elective craniotomy in different neurosurgical positionsTimepoint: The muscle enzyme levels will be assessed immediately after surgery and then daily for next 3 days

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To investigate the significance of muscle enzyme elevation in reference to renal injury & neurologic outcome after elective craniotomy in different neurosurgical positionsTimepoint: Renal injury scoring will be done daily till discharge Neurological Outcome will be assessed at the time of hospital discharge
