Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA I & II patients of either gender. Patients scheduled for elective or emergency surgeries on the forearm or hand

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with bleeding disorders. 2. Patients receiving anticoagulants. 3. Patients on chronic analgesic therapy. 4. Patients with contralateral hemidiaphragmatic paralysis/extensively diseased lung. 5. Patients with h/o allergy to the study drugs.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the quality of block with respect to the onset & duration of sensory and motor block. Timepoint: Immediately

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1.To assess total requirement of rescue analgesics in first 24 hours. 2.To assess any side effects. Timepoint: First 24 hrs.
