Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • 1. American Society of Anaesthesiologists physical status I,II[19](ANNEXURE III). 2. Patients with age :20 to 60 Years of both sexes. 3. BMI (body mass index) = 30 kg/m2 4. Patients undergoing elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy

To study the cardiovascular response (change in MAP) at different time intervals following the creation of pneumoperitoneum in patients receiving either I.V dexmedetomidine or magnesium sulphate boluses. To study the cardiovascular response (change in MAP) at different time intervals following the creation of pneumoperitoneum in patients receiving either I.V dexmedetomidine or magnesium sulphate boluses. TO ALL CAUSE MORBIDITYTimepoint: 6 HRS

1. To study the changes in heart rate (HR), systolic blood pressure (SBP) & diastolic blood pressure (DBP) at specified time intervals following creation of pneumoperitoneum 2. To asses postoperative sedation using Ramsay sedation score (RSS)[16] at specified time interval post extubation(16). No.of patients reaching RSS of 2 score is taken.[Annexure 1] 3. To compare the time for first request of analgesia postoperatively – defined as whenever the patient complains of pain or when numerical rating scale[17] (NRS) 4[Annexure II ] 4. Number of propofol boluses required perioperatively by the two groups will be compared. 5. Number of boluses of atropine, ephedrine & phenylephrine required intraoperatively by the two groups will also be compared. Timepoint: 15 MINUTES AND 6HRS
