Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The study includes subjects of 35-55 years of age. Dentinal hypersensitivity caused by gingival recession and non-carious cervical defects are included in the study The sensitivity scores measured 2 or more in the VAS are eligible to be included under the study Less than 1mm dentinal defect so that restoration need not be done. Minimum of 2 teeth and three quadrants which meets the desired criteria are taken.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects who had undergone periodontal surgery within 3 months or with orthodontic appliances or bridges Pregnant or lactating mothers are excluded from study. Teeth with caries, cracks or fractures in the cervical area Usage of toothpastes containing desensitizing agents in the last 3 months Subjects with systemic diseases such as eating disorders, chronic diseases, use of pacemakers, major psychiatric disorders, heavy smoking or alcohol abuse, MI history in past 6 months Subjects with severe oral pathologies and diseases

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Comparison of clinical effectiveness of GLUMA, CPP-ACP with chitosan nanoparticles and diode laser in reducing the dentinal hypersensitivity.Timepoint: The evaluation of the efficacy of the three agents were tested at baseline,1,7,14 and 21 days

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
•To assess the pre-treatment & post-treatment sensitivity scores using visual analog scale, air blast, cold graded thermal test & mechanical method in GLUMA. •To assess the pre-treatment & post-treatment sensitivity scores using visual analog scale, air blast, cold graded thermal test & mechanical method in CPP-ACP mixed chitosan nanoparticles. •To assess the pre-treatment & post-treatment sensitivity scores using visual analog scale, air blast, cold graded thermal test & mechanical method in diode laser. Timepoint: The test is done at baseline ,1,7 14 & 21 days
