Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. All Neonates with gestational age of 25 weeks requiring phototherapy as per NICE phototherapy guidelines in neonates between 24 weeks and 35 weeks and AAP 2022 phototherapy guidelines for neonates of gestation 35 weeks anytime in their hospital stay.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. In whom consent is denied. 2. Received phototherapy for less than 12 hours for any reasons. 3. Neonates with already established NEC, other surgical abdomen. 4. Neonates with Shock documented by the Blood pressure readings as per gestational age. 5. Neonates with hS-PDA documented by 2D ECHO. 6. Neonates requiring exchange transfusion for treatment of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia. 7. Neonates with Acute Encephalopathy, seizures and neurological deficit due to any cause. 8. Neonates with major Congenital anomalies and complex heart diseases.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1.To calculate MCA-PSV, EDV, and RI before and during phototherapy 2.To calculate cardiac output before and during phototherapy 3.To calculate SMA-PSV, EDV, and RI before and during phototherapy Timepoint: To do Ultrasound Doppler before starting Phototherapy and after 12 hours of starting phototherapy

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. Impact of phototherapy on hemodynamics of brain, heart, and gut.Timepoint: A Hemodynamics assessment will be done before starting phototherapy and 12 hours after starting phototherapy.
