Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. All patients above 18 years of age. 2. Patients undergoing elective craniotomy for Space Occupying Lesion (Infective, malignant, metastasis) 3. Patients undergoing emergency craniotomy for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients having preoperative deranged renal function. 2. Patients with preoperative metabolic disturbances secondary to other causes.

| 1.To determine the occurrence of electrolyte imbalances such as Hyponatremia, Hypernatremia in adult patients undergoing elective craniotomy. 2.To determine the electrolyte imbalances such as hyponatremia and hypernatremia in all patients undergoing surgery for traumatic brain injury. 3.To determine the perioperative changes in lactate levels in all patients undergoing both elective and emergency craniotomy. Timepoint: Blood gas, lactate and electrolytes are measured and following time points. Preoperative, After Skin incision, After Craniotomy, During Skin closure, Post extubation if performed, POD at 6hrs, 12 hrs, 24hrs, 48 hrs, 72 hrs and POD 7 | — |
