Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Women of reproductive age group 16 to 49 years 2. Females having complaint of excessive bleeding per vagina during menses either in amount or duration or both or during short intermenstrual period for 3 consecutive cycles 3. Patient having normal BMI 4. Hb greater than and equal to 7 gm/dl

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients having systemic diseases like HTN, DM, TB, Thyroid dysfunction, Blood coagulopathies 2. Women of perimenopausal and postmenopausal age 3. Pregnant women, Postpartum females 4. Patient having H/O recent abortion 5. Patient suffering from DUB complicated by non-responding Anaemia 6. Patient having organic pathology like Cervical or Uterine Polyp, Uterine Fibroids, PID 7. Patients using OCP, IUCD or taking hormonal treatment

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
- Decrease in number of pads used during 2nd day of menses - Decrease in following parameters like pain during menses, passage of blood clotsTimepoint: 15 days

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
- Decrease in duration of menses - Longer the interval of intermenstrual bleeding as compared to previous cycle - Improvement in Hemoglobin levelTimepoint: 15 days
