Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients having subjective symptoms 1 year after cessation of menstruation. Age group between 45-60 years. Patients willing to give written consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Anaemic patients. 2. Menopausal woman with untoward effect of HRT. 3.Patients having cardiovascular disease, hypertension, hyper and hypothyroidism, liver diseases and renal diseases. 4. Patients undergoing medications for psychological disorders. 5. Patients presenting with similar symptoms as in menopausal syndrome but having different etiology.

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the efficacy of Bhavitha choorna of Durva (Cynodon dactylon (Linn)Pers.) in reducing the symptoms in the subjects with menopausal syndrome assessed by international version of menopausal rating scale.Timepoint: Patients will be assessed before and after the intervention. Initially patient will be assessed in detail by asking the presence or severity of parameter according to international version of the menopausal rating scale. Medication will be provided for 30 days and follow up will be done for the next 30 days without intervention and data will be collected.

Assess the pharmacognostical, Phytochemical, TLC fingerprinting and Ayurvedic parameters of Bhavitha and Abhavitha choorna of Durva (Cynodon dactylon. Linn)Timepoint: Pharmacognostical assessmet of both bhavitha and Abhavitha Durva choorna will be done.
