Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA physical status I and II Age (18-60yrs) Patients undergoing surgeries of elbow, forearm, wrist or hand.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Refusal to participate. Allergic to local anaesthetics and analgesics Local site infection. patients with known coagulopathy. Patients with severe cardiac, respiratory, renal and liver disease.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
First requirement of analgesia post operatively.Timepoint: post operatively baseline, every hourly till 4 hours, after that every 4th hourly till first requirement of analgesia.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1)Total duration of sensory & motor block. 2)Surgeon�s satisfaction & patients satisfaction score. 3)Complications like: vascular puncture, Horner syndrome, failure of block, pneumothorax, hematoma formation, local anaesthetic toxicity, delayed neurological complication, post operative nausea & vomiting. Timepoint: post operatively baseline, every hourly till 4 hours, after that every 4th hourly till first requirement of analgesia.
