Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: on invasive mechanical ventilation with an anticipated ICU stay more than 7 days

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with Traumatic Brain Injury Pregnancy Patients with BMI less than 18.5 Patients with pre existing neurological neuromuscular or muscular wasting disorders AKI at the time of enrollment History of steroid usage of more than one month Known malignancy
