Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients in the age group 18-60 years undergoing emergency abdominal surgeries, 1. Under general anesthesia 2. Requiring invasive arterial pressure monitoring

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with hypertension 2. Peripheral vascular disease 3. Patients on vasoactive drugs 4. Pregnancy 5. Difficult airway 6. Patients already intubated

MeasureTime frame
1. To find the association between preinduction PI and hypotension after induction of general anesthesia in patients undergoing emergency abdominal surgeries Timepoint: before administration of anesthetic agent, every min after induction for 10 minutes followed by every 10 min till the end of the surgery

1. To find the association between preinduction PVI & hypotension after induction of general anesthesia in patients undergoing emergency abdominal surgeries. 2. To find the association between preinduction lactate levels & hypotension after induction of general anesthesia in patients undergoing emergency abdominal surgeries 3. To find the association between intraoperative PI, PVI & mean arterial pressure (MAP) in patients undergoing emergency abdominal surgeries Timepoint: before administration of anesthetic agent, every min after induction for 10 minutes followed by every 10 min till the end of the surgery
