Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients having sign and symptoms of Dushta vrana with dimensions as follows-length less then equal to 10cm,depth less than equal to 5 cm,breadth less than equal to 10cm will be selected randomly.If patient is known case of Diabetes,then patient with random blood sugar is less than 250 mg/dl will be taken for study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Known case of HIV, Hepatitis Band any systemic disease except Diabetes. Patients suffering from wounds like tubercular ulcer, venous ulcer, leprotic ulcers, malignant ulcers ,burns. Wounds having excessive loss of tissues i.e. wound including bone, tendon injury, exposed bone, ligament injury.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The parameters pain,burning,itching,size,discharge,swelling,smell,tenderness,granulation tissue,local temperature will be assessed overall by scoring from 0 to 3.This will be based on observation of these parameters along with healing of the vrana as marked,moderate,mild or poor improvement.Timepoint: 2 weeks

To study the efficacy of Povidine-iodine ointment in dushta vrana.To study the literature related to dushta vrana.To study the literature related to wound & its infection.Timepoint: 2 weeks
